Tata Sky increases prices for new connections and multi TV additions
Tata Sky has increased the prices for new connections and multi TV additions. And the new addition comes just around a month later the DTH operator provided a reduction of Rs. 100 for Tata Sky HD users. The latest pricing is valid to the Tata Sky HD and SD set-top box variants. Previous month, the Tata Sky temporarilyremoved its SD set-top box and it was seenoffering only the HD set-top box to its latest subscribers. While, it has taken back the SD set-top box with the new price that is higher than what was available to users previous.
The updated pricing structure of HD and SD boxes listing shown on the Tata Sky website. The Tata Sky HD and SD setup box variants are available on the company website @ INR 1,499. This replicates an hike of INR 100 from the previous INR 1,399 prices.
Earlier, the operator did retail its HD box @ INR 1,499, but the company in Jan disconnected the price of its HD option by INR 100. That move bring the HD set-top box in line with its SD counterpart. Though, operator has deleted the SD set-top box from its portfolio in previous month to boost the existence of the biggervariety. At present, the SD set-top box is listed on the site again.
Unlike Tata Sky, Airtel is also selling its HD set-top box at as low as Rs. 1,300. Instead, Dish TV is selling its HD set-top box at Rs. 1,599.
Moreover, the modified rating of Tata sKy’s HD and SD set-top box options, it has hiked the multi-TC connection charges, as noted by HTD-focussed site DreamDTH. The charges for the secondary SD connection by the operator have been increased from Rs. 1,2999 to Rs. 1,399, though the secondary HD connection is accessible at Rs. 1,199, up from Rs. 999.
